Pauline Mancini, 25, is an indie French singer/songwriter and composer.
She has been surrounded by music her entire life. It wasn’t until the age of 16, however, that the young artist would discover her passion. Not knowing how to read sheet music, she composed and recorded her first few songs in the privacy of her bedroom.
In 2013 release a debut album titled “Butterfly Feeling”, which contains 5 of her original compositions.
Things started to come together when her music earned her an 8th place spot out of 123 groups at the Printemps de Bourges Music Festival. As a result of this accomplishment, she was received as a guest on various radio stations such as Goom Radio in Paris, MixLor, France Bleu, Radio Mélodie, and even Sona 89.3 FM based in Mexico. Additionally, she’s appeared on multiple French television networks. In October of that year, director Thierry Paya discovered Pauline and offered her the opportunity to shoot a music video for her single “Butterfly Feeling” alongside his team.
In February of 2015, she uploaded a cover on YouTube of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”. Some days later, she was surprised with a response from Amy’s mother, Janis Winehouse, congratulating her via Twitter. That same year, while on a trip to England, Pauline and Janis met on two occasions and the young musician was invited to visit her house. There, she had the privilege of playing the very guitar owned by her idol and of admiring her awards in musical achievement.
She is currently working on her new EP.
