DownTown Mystic returns to AirPlayBuzz with the new Test Of Time single from the upcoming Welcome To Sha-La Land compilation album due out December 18.

In 2016 DownTown Mystic reached #1on the Official European Independent Music Chart for 3 weeks with the Way To Know single featuring Max Weinberg and Garry Tallent from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

The Test Of Time single features Bruce Engler, a long-time DownTown Mystic collaborator who recently released his 3rd solo record, The Landing. Sha-La Music plans to release Bruce’s next album One More Chance featuring DownTown Mystic in 2021.

Also playing on the track is Trixter/Ra bass player PJ Farley and the late great Tommy Mastro of The Discontent, playing drums for the final time on a DownTown Mystic track.

2020 has been a busy year for DownTown Mystic, starting with the critically acclaimed Better Day album in January and ending with the DownTown Mystic: Used Records History 1979-1985 album in November.

Sha-La plans to release the DownTown Mystic On E Street Deluxe album featuring RnR Hall of Famers Max Weinberg and Garry Tallent of The E Street Band next month on January 22, 2021.

The sound of DownTown Mystic is “vintage yet modern”, continuing in the legacy of rockers like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.

The music is rooted in all the great traditions of American Rock‘n’Roll, blending storytelling songs with vintage guitars and analog recording into a unique style that owes nods to Buffalo Springfield, The Beatles, CCR, Rockpile and The Rolling Stones but somehow manages to sound as contemporary as anything currently available.

DownTown Mystic is the alter ego of American Rocker, Robert Allen, whose passion for “old school” recording borders on obsession. Robert adds, “I grew up listening to all these great records and their sound and style stayed with me”.

Besides gaining recognition from Radio programmers, the DownTown Mystic Brand has been developing via Sync Licensing with music placed in movies and over 200 TV shows, helping to spread the music of DownTown Mystic around the world.
